πŸ‘›Wallets

To utilize the majority of WagieBot's features, having a wallet is essential.

You have the option to either create a new wallet or import an existing one by navigating to /menu -> 'πŸ‘›Wallets' or by simply using the /wallets command.

Generate a New Wallet Seed

  1. Enter the /wallets command

  2. Click 'πŸͺ„Generate a New Wallet Seed'

  3. Choose a name for your wallet

Done. Your wallet is now successfully created and encrypted. Now that you've created your wallet, it's crucial to save your private key and mnemonic phrase in a secure location. These keys can serve as a backup method for accessing your wallet through other Web3 wallet providers like Metamask and Trust Wallet in case you ever lose access to WagieBot.

Once you've securely backed up your wallet, it's recommended to delete the message containing your private keys and mnemonic phrase from the bot for security reasons. It's important to note that after deleting the message, Wagie will NEVER display your keys again.

Import an Existing Wallet

  1. Enter the /wallets command

  2. Click 'πŸ”ŒImport an Existing Wallet'

  3. Enter your private key or mnemonic phrase

  4. Choose a name for your wallet

Once imported, the bot will automatically delete the message containing a private key or a mnemonic phrase and send you a confirmation if the import is successful.

Delete a Wallet

If you have any wallets connected, a new button named '❌ Delete a Wallet' will appear in the wallets menu.

  1. Enter the /wallets command

  2. Click '❌ Delete a Wallet'

  3. Click the button associated with the wallet name you want to remove.

  1. Before proceeding with wallet deletion, make sure you've selected the right wallet, have no funds in the wallet or have your private keys backed up. If everything checks out, confirm the wallet deletion by clicking '⚠️Confirm Wallet Deletion'

Deleting a wallet is an irreversible action. Please proceed with caution and be certain of your decision. Wagie does not store a back up and will not be able to restore it.
